We test the usability of products and services by asking representative users to complete representative tasks whilst speaking their thoughts out loud. This methodology has been shown to be very effective with identifying frustrating issues and barriers to adoption.
Just one day of usability testing is a day well spent.
Sessions are broadcast and observed online to allow product teams to observe and contribute in real time. The data that’s collected is mainly qualitative but can inform both the nature and severity of issues.
Usability testing is usually done in a 1:1 situation to mitigate against participants influencing each other, but useful feedback can also be obtained from groups.
We now do this remotely or in accordance with social distancing guidelines.
